was an apprentice with the famous comedy troupe Conto Akashingo in Japan. He came to New York in 1990 and studied at Neighborhood Playhouse with Sandy Mesiner, Phil Gushee Studio and Wynn Handyman. He has appeared in Hamlet, Masks and Music, Salome and Oedipus the King starring Al Pacino (The Actors Studio), The world premiere of Tennessee Williams’s The Day On Which A Man Dies (White Barn Theater, CT), the first immersive robotic cross media opera in 1997 called SAYONARA DIORAMA (Lehmann College, New York) directed by Ibrahim Quraishi and many other subsequent productions. Some of his TV/Film credits include Soul Man with Dan Ackroyd, NYGO, Town & Country with Warren Beatty, Diane Keaton, Goldie Hawn and Josh Hartnett, Sleepy Heads, Home Sweet Hoboken, Great New Wonderful, Idol and YUUSHI NO TANAKA. He also directed Hatsukoi at West End Theater in Tokyo, Japan.
In 1995 he became the second Japanese actor to become a lifetime member of The Actors Studio.
