(video design) is an award-winning filmmaker and designer. His film 'Sangam' premiered at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival and since appeared in over thirty festivals, been broadcast on PBS, Sundance Channel and ARTE/ZDF, garnering several awards and distinctions. For the past nine years, as creative director of his own production company, Prashant has designed and directed commercials, titles, and promos for such films as John Frankenhiemer's Path to War, Mira Nair's Hysterical Blindness, Raoul Peck's Lumumba, Lackwanna Blues and Born Into Brothels. Notable projects include branding Cinemax's Reel Life documentary series and many of HBO's original series - OZ, Def Poetry Jam, and The Wire. Other projects include promotions for NBC, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Missy Elliot, Accenture, PBS, Bravo, and IBM. Prashant studied theatrical directing at the Actors Studio Drama School and computer science at Cornell University. He is a 2006 Amherst College Copeland Colloquium Fellow. He is currently developing a feature film set during the kite wars in India. Prashant's interest in the arts began as a graffiti artist in his native Chicago. He resides in Brooklyn.
