(sound engineer) Born and raised in western Canada, Scott Harding moved to New York City in 1989 to make music. Scott's primary interest has been hip hop, but he has worked as a producer and recording engineer on a broad spectrum of material. Scott has produced records by Medeski Martin & Wood, Crooklyn Dub, DJ Logic, Sex Mob, Crash Test Dummies, John Spencer Blues Explosion, Material, Tricky, and Positive Black Soul, and has engineered projects for Wu-Tang Clan, Gravediggaz, Jungle Brothers, Chris Rock, Ultramagnetic Mcs, Salif Keita, PM Dawn, Bjork, Black Sheep, Queen, Brand New Heavies, and many others. Most notably for this production, he has produced and engineered records for both Vijay Iyer and Mike Ladd, including their joint release In What Language? His new album, Radical Reconstructive Surgery, has just been released by Thirsty Ear Recordings.
